Establishment of national networks.

Workpackage description

Members of the national networks will be persons who are part of the environment of teens and/or who could be useful in gaining knowledge about how to motivate young smokers to take part in smoking cessation interventions.
A minimum of eight persons out of various youth-relevant areas (family, school, peers, leisure, media, social  work, research, policy, marketing etc.) and teen smoking related fields (addiciton/health system, existing teen smoking projects) will belong to each national network.

The task of all participating countries will be to

• identify and contact national stakeholders
• include pre-existing European network partners engaged in smoking prevention and intervention projects in each country
• develop an information strategy to motivate these stakeholders to take part in a multi-professional national network (and later to take part in a European network and at least at the European conference)
• organize a national meeting of interested stakeholders in order to analyze national ressources and existing gaps
• announce a national contact person for national and European purposes/requests
• to report on national network activities
