Objective

Dissemination of project results.

Workpackage description

Dissemination of the project mainly follows two strategies:

Strategy 1: Timely information of all relevant partners in the field of adolescent smoking cessation in all Member States (scientists, providers, media, teachers, parents, adolescents, decision makers, etc.).
Communication of the purpose of the project (at the beginning of the process) as well as of the major project results (continuously) will guarantee transparency and will increase the commitment and motivation of the relevant stakeholders. The information strategy will be realised through (1) the media and publication of scientific articles in national and international journals, (2) press conferences and releases in each country (in collaboration with existing campaigns, e.g. HELP), (3) a professional web page including a database of national and European networks, and (4) presence at a scientific conference.

Strategy 2: Transfer to cessation practice.
This will mainly be realised during the final stage of the project (e.g. conference). Together with the national representatives at the conference first steps of a concrete action plan will be developed for each participating country. The establishment of national networks ensures that relevant persons join the process from the very beginning and can bring in their individual perspectives. By including relevant national, European and international networks in charge for adolescent health (e.g. ENSP, HELP campaign, ENHPS), existing means and resources will be used and enlarged. Each member state of the project consortium will be in charge of the dissemination of translated guidelines in their own country through national network members and public relation actions.
