STIVORO voor een rookvrije wereld (STIVORO for a smoke-free future):

Website for professionals that includes smoking cessation interventions targeted at adolescents. It includes 6 interventions:

1) Rook inzicht (Insight in smoking): The intervention is targeted on (16-20 years old) adolescents in high schools. It contains a training for adolescents about smoking cessation which encompasses 6 course events (5 training sessions and an information session).

2) Actie tegengif (Action antidote): The intervention is targeted at adolescents (12-15 years old). The main goal of the intervention is prevention of adolescents experimenting with smoking and delay the onset of smoking.

3) Actie FF niet (Action just not): The intervention is targeted at adolescents (15-19 years old) at lower secondary professional education schools. The intervention is focused on making an agreement with a group of adolescents in which they agree not to smoke for at least 3 months.

4) De anti-peukenpas (The anti-butts-pass): It is an intervention that is especially targeted on 12-15 years old adolescents and their parents. It involves an agreement between the child and the parent. The child signs ‘a contract’ (the anti-butts-pass) with his of her parent in which he or she agrees not to smoke for a certain period of time. In exchange, the parents offer the child a present if the child indeed did not smoke until the date that is stated in ‘the contract’.

5) Stoppen met roken? Good for you! (Smoking cessation? Good for you!): Intervention targeted at all youngsters in the Netherlands. The intervention contains a brochure with information and tips for smoking cessation.

6)  De rookvrije school (The smoke-free school): It is an intervention targeted at the environment of youngsters, namely schools. To become a smoke-free school, a school has to deliver particular lessons about smoking to the children, take part in smoking cessation programs and helps children with smoking cessation. Both primary as well as secondary schools are targeted in this intervention.

7) Smoke Alert: This is a computer-tailored smoking cessation intervention targeted at young smokers (15-18 years old). It is a promising program that already has proved that it can increase smoking cessation significantly.
